SummerStage 2005 & July 4th

Ahhh...can you feel it in the air? That's not just the summer time heat coming from the dear, old sun...that's the hot summer action live onstage at the Tulsa PAC during our annual SummerStage Festival 2005! This holiday weekend includes the piano performances of Kirk Whipple and Marilyn Morales, produced by the Amadeus Piano Festival; Theatre Pops' 'The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?'; and Light Opera Oklahoma's productions of 'Fiddler on the Roof', 'Too Many Sopranos', & 'The Mikado'. Here's to an entertaining weekend to everyone no matter what you do. Just don't blow off any body parts w/ your fireworks, ok?

The Overture

Greetings and welcome to House Cleaning, with the House Manager! This will continually be a work in progress so I appreciate any words of wisdom or advice from any adoring(?) fans out there. And now, on with the show! 'House Cleaning' in my context does not imply cleaning one's home...it entails the theatrical 'house', both onstage and off. As the House Manager of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, I am in charge of event coordination related to all areas of the building that are NOT onstage or backstage, dealing specifically with event user groups and the patrons who come see the events. Check out http://www.tulsapac.com for complete theatre specifics and event/ticket information. Although I intend this blog to entail all discussion of theatre and performance in general, no topic is off-limits or taboo. Now in addition to my Arts Management career, I am a professional performer (meaning that I do occasionally get paid to act/sing/dance) and own a home-based mentoring and marketing business via the eStarNetwork. Through my business, I help everyday people just like you and me attain life and financial goals through a comprehensive mentoring program designed to foster one's leadership skills and to build a financial foundation for the future (awesome alliteration, huh?)... for a wonderful overview, go to my teams' information and interview site at http://www.wantamentor.com . I look forward to many comments and posts forthcoming from all guests as I hope you look forward to postings regarding my life and inner-thoughts. In some ways this blog is a diary and sounding board for me, and I'm pleased to share it w/ you! Act I begins...NOW!!!
