Heading Toward(s) the Mountains...
I've been a bad little boy for not blogging in awhile... my audience of....1(?) **crickets...crickets** is going to kill me! Not much happening recently other than the shows here at the PAC. Grace Ann Productions opened 'Big River' this past weekend along w/ Clark Theatre's 'Once on this Island'. Both have been very successful thus far...Big River is being presented in the recent Broadway production style utilizing sign language from the performers onstage. The Tulsa deaf community has been overwhelmingly supportive of the show. Clark's show has been commented by patrons as the best children's theatre production seen in Tulsa in a long time. Upcoming events this weekend will be the Rusti Love and Cindy Cain cabaret shows along with the above-mentioned shows.
Leaving Thursday for Denver and the eStar Leadership Conference...getting excited and things have ben progressing well for me business-wise over the past few weeks. I hope to continue the momentum from the conference into the business plan and help others achieve their dreams. And not to go off on a rant here (love Dennis Miller, btw), but the major airlines' (Southwest being the major exception) "hub & spoke" system is archaic, flawed & a waste of time and moolah...to go to Denver I have to fly via Memphis (at least it's not Detroit)...Tennessee that is. Crazy that the bigwigs can't seem to lower costs enough to offer direct service between cities regardless. I could swear that the old adage "Time is Money" could be of benefit in this situation. Anyway, I'm eagerly anticipating seeing some old friends and former work collegues along w/ the top leaders of eStar while I'm there...as well as hoping to spend some time doing fun things in Denver and/or the mountains!
What else...could discuss seeing my ex-fiancee this weekend during the American Theatre Company's summer fundraiser and benefit this past Saturday but I won't... :-) I could mention that I really would like to do a show right now, that I still have to 'perform' my duties after being won in a labor auction for Theatre Tulsa (you have to call me, Sally), or that I love my nieces, but I guess I just did.
Wishing you all the best as I go off into the wild blue yonder...gives me flashbacks to "The Will Rogers Follies" when Wiley Post tells Will, "Let's go flyin', Will!"...and you should know what happened to them, right? **smirk** Not to worry though... as Matt Hardy recently said, "I'll never die!". Golly I hope I get those WWE tickets for their Tulsa event... **sigh w/ a smile**
