The red pill or the blue pill...

Greetings all...or one...or none! How are you today? I'm fine, thanks for asking! I watched Matrix Revolutions (or whatever the last one was) while my folks were in Vegas and I was house-sitting... nothing touches the first one, though (where the red/blue pill title above comes from of course). Got some more stills of my recent shoot this past weekend. 'Carthage' should wrap hopefully by next weekend. Let me know your thoughts:

The PAC's 'Brown Bag It' lunch w/ music series re-started yesterday w/ the Cooligans Barbershop Quartet ...excellent group!! I've known their lead from way back in high school, and he remembered me and my brother. This weekend, Tulsa Opera finishes it run of 'Faust', Tulsa Repertory Musicals starts their run of 'A Year With Frog & Toad,' 'Greater Tuna' runs this coming Tues/Wed, ATC's 'The Rocky Horror Show' next weekend, the 1st of the Tulsa Town Hall season next Friday, and the incomparable Yevgeny Yevtushenko next Saturday. As always, visit http://tulsapac.com for tickets, dates, times, etc.

Today is Yom Kippur...the highest of the High Holy Days. Unfortunately I've been a bad Jew and haven't done the fasting, but I have been trying to atone for my yearly sins. I give thanks to God for all I have in my life, my family for being there and supporting me, and my friends for sticking by me. I'm very proud of my accomplishments and am far from finished in my life's work, be it family, performing, my business, and love.

The most life-changing show for me was BACP's 'South Pathetic...I mean Pacific'. Numerous reasons.
The best musicals I've been in: Chicago, Hair, JC Superstar, Bat Boy, West Side Story
The best plays I've been in: The Nerd, ...Cuckoo's Nest, Lu Ann Hampton..., Over the River..., and others I'm sure.

Tommy Emmanuel is the closest thing to G-O-D on the guitar...no lie!

Kelly Clarkson has shook (shaken?) my hand and gave me a hug! So has Mario Joiner (opening act comic for Jerry Seinfeld).. the handshake, not the hug. Cathy Rigby and her family and her dogs are the best! I've held out the Governor of Oklahoma... are there snipers around me?

Until the next time...be well, have fun (Nibbe is my Yoda)!

Not today, thanks, I'm feeling a little Celtic...

Ahh, I do love Celtic music and the Celtic series here at the PAC personifies the intensity and the passion of this incredible musical styling and variations therein. Hmmm...intensity and passion...I've been noted in my life many times that those are two distinct traits of mine...as 'Spock' of "Star Trek" fame (both the original and TNG rock!) eloquently says: Fascinating! Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas perform this weekend at the PAC as well as the opening of Tulsa Opera's 'Faust'...c'mon you know the story of Faust: guy sells his soul to the devil so he can make up the life he failed to live as well as to win the hand of the beautiful fair maiden... guys have been known to do strange things for the fairer sex... "Did you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" Two cookies for anyone who knows where that came from!!

Went with my better half earlier this week to the 3 Doors Down concert, frontlined by Alter Bridge (Yes, I know, the band that does Edge's theme!!! Whahdooyahmeen ya don't know who Edge is?) and Shinedown... the concert was loud... (DUH!) but very good overall... I thought it was an unwritten rule that when you're on tour, you pimp the city/town you're in to no end. The other bands did that in abundance but 3DD never mentioned Tulsa, only that we were his 'Friends"... hmmm...maybe he truly didn't know where the f*ck he was. Maybe not. I know...nitpicky...I dig those cheap pops, though! (Must be my love of pro wrestling coming through.)

My youngest niece, Julia, will be 2 years old next week, and my oldest niece, Marissa, will be 5 at the end of December... time really flies! My sister finished her enlistment w/ the Air Nat'l Guard.

I signed a new rep this week (You're the greatest, Brianna!). Why are you (meaning: everyone else) waiting to make your dreams come true? You better contact me so I can show you the simplicity of this plan...oh heck, I'll show it to you below:

LOOP 3!!!!! LOOP 3!!!!! LOOP 3!!!!!

For anyone interested, American Theatre Company's 'A Christmas Carol' will be holding auditions next week. My good(?) friend, Todd, will be playing Bob Cratchit this year...I, myself, prefer to play the Ghost of Jacob Marley... I had a blast with that role! I'm praying that I'll be able to do "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" at the end of March at BACP... ATC is doing "Great Expectations" a bit before that... it's only at times like these, for roles like these, that I hate my job!! **smirk** Kidding, but only slightly...

Ciao!
